Now is the time to proceed with the impeachment of George W. Bush. We can't just act as if he didn't do anything wrong. He promoted torture, he lied about the reasons for the Iraq war, he is solely responsible for illegal surveillence of US citizens. He refused to protect US citizens from natural disaster. He threatened Social Security and abolished Habeus Corpus. The leadership of the Democratic party may have a short memory, but I don't. I can remember when there was sentiment for impeachment of Ronald Reagan over the Iran-Contra scandal. Republicans convinced Democrats that Mr. Reagan should be sparred the pain and the embarrassment of impeachment proceedings at such an advanced age. The Democrats agreed with the Republicans and nothing else was said about impeaching Reagan. When Clinton became president and found himself in the middle of an extra-marital affair. The Republicans went for the jugular at the expense of the US taxpayer they succeeded in impeaching Clinton. I see no reason for Democrats to look the other way when it comes to George Bush. Hundreds of thousands are dead because of his lie.

Impeachment proceedings will take place- not because of the house or the senate (too many of Bush's co-conspirators inhabit these ignoble (of late) institutions) but because the people of America have decided that he must be impeached.
Air America, being boycotted by Neocon corporations, is one member of the media that has given democrats a voice. Let us support them. Thank you
