The Economist's cover story editorial this week, Dr. Strangedeal, agreed with me in calling for congress to reject Bush's recent nuclear deal with India. I didn't realize this, but it's a violation of the NPT for the United States to help India build nukes, despite India not being a signatory.

I'm thinking the entire purpose of the deal is for congress to strike it down. It would create a nice opportunity (without requiring that much effort) for them to distance themselves with the president during an election year.
